Gratitude - d5

Cable internet.

The reason there is no gratitude post from Saturday and this one today is so late is because my parents live way out in the boonies and can only get satellite internet, which is certainly faster than dial-up, but is still way slower than cable. And I just don't have the patience for it.

Thank you to whoever invented cable internet and to Dave who insists that we always have it. :)

LOL...see why I'm so anxious to move to Utah?...it's our only way out of dial up...and not even regular dial up...ultra ancient phone lines, half the normal speed of dial up. So it's not "Utah, here we come!" It's "Oh cable internet! How we've missed you" lol

we have satelite internet too. It's actually pretty good, except when it gets really bad weather outside. It also slows way down when other people are online. Thankfully, most people in Barrow aren't awake until after noon so the mornings are nice on the internet.

I'm thankful for my non dial up internet. And maybe our comp just needs cleaned up a bit to get it faster agin. Sometimes when we unplug the modem and plug it back in it gets faster. AND I don't think we live in the boonies. LOL
