Our backyard visitors

This is about 6:30 AM...shooting through the family room window.

Several hours later...about 10:30 I think, they had been sleeping.

I sent the kids out with apple slices. Deer got wary.

Walking away from the kids.

Speeding things up a bit. This is when they threw the apples and came back towards the house.

So the deer turned around to investigate.

and hung out for another 45 minutes or so before leaving...lol. It was about noon when I didn't see them anymore.

Now that is the sweetest thing in the world! What beautiful deer! How neat that your kids got to see them so close up! :o)

You couldn't get away from the dear even in the big city? Since you were in 6th grade when we moved up here to the foothills of the Blue Mountains we have had dear in our back yard, side yard, front yard, eating our garden and flowers, and trying not to hit them(practically every day) with our cars as we went in and out of town. It's STILL a wonder to see them walk by your house wherever you may live. :).

COOL!!! We saw quite a few deer around our house last year. I haven't been out enough when it's dark (the only time I saw them last year as they were eating my plants and peas) this year to see them. That's great that you got to see them during the day!
